Biography:  God has blessed my life continually with an adventurous spirit and hunger for knowledge. Both led me to Calif. in 62 to finish my University degree at UC-Long Beach. I made the trip a dream fulfillment by traveling across country in my '59 Chevy Impala with my German Shepherd dog. We traveled for three months and stayed inside only three times!!! WE visited 28 states and four countries in that trip. It took me two solid years of work and school to get the wanderlust out of my blood. I still have a special yen when I "hit the road for any place today.' After my family survived my three month travel I promised to stay put in the Bay area until I reentered college in '64. Because I had to leave Northeastern University, Boston, early, due to great family illness, (both mother and father in the hospital at the same time), I had prep work to do before reentry. But God was good and helped me with the tough organic Chem. course to finally understand those formulas!!! and get an A. Today I am actively using those accomplishments in the Chemistry department which I run daily in my present job. After raising two of my ex’s boys and two adopted children I am now enjoying being a grandmother and adoptive grandma to many church children. Also enjoy frequent interaction with my great, grand nieces and nephews who live in Stockton, Calif. and North Carolina. There has been a live dream fulfilled with raising horses along with my children. I taught riding and did show competition, following my heritage from my cousin Ethel who was Grand Champion of Maine. My most recent joy has been my reunion with my childhood friend and horse lover, Judy, through the work of this reunion committee. We had a wonderful 4 days in San Francisco when her sweet husband had to come for a convention in June this year. She has perpetuated our horse love into a full time business of breeding and raising show horse. I'm hoping to join them in Scottsdale this coming year. Also hope to visit them after our class reunion in Oct. God and church have always been the center of my life. He has kept me many times from death, and destruction. I have many stories to share. Presently I'm working diligently on my avocation of singing Christian and classical music. It is the passion and joy of my heart. Last year I gave my first recital, which was great fun and lots of work. Also working on getting a CD and tape done this year. My other passion is writing which I've done all my life but am perfecting into a business. Am in the process of "sending" out now. You will all hear when I get that first acceptance. Actually I've done some self-publishing and had the joy of being in two bookstores here. But then I learned about marketing!!! Tough. Am looking forward to our class reunion....all these years I've missed anything else going on and now we are all being found...it is great! Thanks David and the rest who are and have been working so hard to accomplish the best re-union ever. May God be a reality to you all as we face challenging days ahead. With an unbelievable USA state of war each day is precious. Share it and love it with others. Your friend Georgia -Joy
